GIVE EVIDENCE

GIVE  EVIDENCE: chemistry in daily life

Defenition :

evidence is evidence  which serves to either support or counter a  hypothesis Such evidence is expected to be empirical evidence and interpretation in accordance with something  method. Standards for something evidence vary according to the field of inquiry, but the strength of something evidence is generally based on the results of statitical analysis and the strength of something controls.

In daily life :

Chemistry is a big part of your everyday life. You find chemistry in daily life in the foods you eat, the air you breathe, cleaning chemicals, your emotions and literally every object you can see or touch. Here's a look at 10 examples of everyday chemistry. Some common chemistry may be obvious, but others might surprise you.

1.Elements in the Human Body

Your body is made up of chemical compounds, which are combinations of elements. While you probably know your body is mostly water, which is hydrogen and oxygen

2. Soap clean

Soap is a chemical that mankind has been making for a very long time. You can form a crude soap by mixing ashes and animal fat. How can something so nasty actually make you cleaner? The answer has to do with the way soap interacts with oil-based grease and grime.

3. Photosynthesis Is a Reaction To Make Food

Plants apply a chemical reaction called photosynthesis to convert carbon dioxide and water into food (glucose) and oxygen. It's one of the most common everyday chemical reactions and also one of the most important since this is how plants produce food for themselves and animals and convert carbon dioxide into oxygen.
6 CO2 + 6 H2O + light → C6H12O6 + 6 O2

4. Rust Is a Common Chemical Reaction

Over time, iron develops a red, flaky coating called rust. This is an example of an oxidation reaction. Other everyday examples include formation of verdigris on copper and tarnishing of silver.
Here is the chemical equation for the rusting of iron:
Fe + O2 + H2O → Fe2O3. XH2O

  1. Hi demi,
    I want ask you,
Are there other chemical compounds in our body other than water and oxygen ?

    1. Almost 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Only about 0.85% is composed of another five elements: potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. All 11 are necessary for life. The remaining elements are trace elements, of which more than a dozen are thought on the basis of good evidence to be necessary for life.

    1. The overall chemical reaction involved in photosynthesis is: 6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) C6H12O6 + 6O2.

Light is, thus, necessary for the process of photosynthesis to provide energy for the synthetic reactions.

    1. Using fuels that contain less pollutants. Until now Indonesia is very dependent on petroleum and coal, while petroleum is a source of fuel with high sulfur content. The use of natural gas will reduce the emission of acid-forming substances.

    1. Thanks rini

Aerobic cellular respiration is the opposite process of photosynthesis in that energy molecules are combined with the oxygen we breathe to release energy needed by our cells plus carbon dioxide and water. Energy used by cells is chemical energy in the form of ATP.

Here is the overall equation for aerobic cellular respiration:

      C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy (36 ATPs)

More example please you read my write on

  6. What reaction happen if I spray oil to motorcycle chain?

    BalasHapus

    1. No reaction occurs, except the chain in the rust. While the oil here serves as a chain cleaner

Lubricating your chain is certainly one of the easiest maintainance tasks for a motorcycle owner, however I frequently wonder how necessary it really is.

    1. The three main things affecting the rate of photosynthesis are:

      Light
      Temperature
      Carbon dioxide

In addition to the three main factors above are other factors such as chlorophyll concentration, water and pollution. Only the three main factors identified above will be considered in further detail

  8. Please explain what is used in photosynthesis process?

  9. Photosynthesis is the process used by plants, algae and certain bacteria to harness energy from sunlight into chemical energy.

  10. what chemical reactions are present on soap clean ?

  11. Fatty acids are the components of fats and oils that are used in making soap. They are weak acids composed of two parts:

A carboxylic acid group consisting of one hydrogen (H) atom, two oxygen (O) atoms, and one carbon (C) atom, plus a hydrocarbon chain attached to the carboxylic acid group. Generally, it is made up of a long straight chain of carbon (C) atoms each carrying two hydrogen (H) atoms.

Soaps are sodium or potassium salts of long chain fatty acids. When triglycerides in fat/oil react with aqueous NaOH or KOH, they are converted into soap and glycerol. This is called alkaline hydrolysis of esters. Since this reaction leads to the formation of soap, it is called the Saponification process.

CLASSIFICATION OF MATER

English  Resume📚                                          CLASSIFICATION OF MATTER 1.Defenition of matter       Matter is everything around you. Atoms and molecules are all composed of matter. Matter can be classified into two categories: pure substances and mixtures.A sample of matter can be a gas, a liquid, or a solid.                                 "Phase of matter"  ATOMS atom is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter that has the properties of a chemical element. Atoms are very small; typical sizes are around 100 picometers (a ten-billionth of a meter, in the short scale). MOLECULES  The molecule is  a group of atoms (at least two) that are bonded together very strongly (covalently) in a particular arrangement and are neutral and fairly stable B.PURE SUBTANCES     A substance is simply matter with definite chemical composition and distinct properties. It is matter that is characterized by a cons

Using english to : CALCULATE

             1. Defenition :            to find (a number, answer, etc.) by using mathematical processes.    to get a general idea about the value, size, or cost of (something).   So  The definition of calculate is to use reason or common sense to determine something, or to use math to determine an answer. Note :   " Stoichiometry calculations are based on the fact that atoms are conserved. They cannot be destroyed or created. Numbers and kinds of atoms before and after the reactions are always the same. This is the basic law of nature".       Origin of calculatevv     from Classical Latin  calculatus , past participle of  calculare , to reckon ; from  calculus , pebble, stone used in doing arithmetic, diminutive of  calx , limestone: see calciulate  a. to make a computation b. to rely or depend ( on )             Examples of calculate                     in a sentence calculate  the volume of a cylinder:  I need to
